Marie-Sophie Starlinger studied at the Technical University in Vienna and at the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles. She graduated from SCI-Arc in 2013 with a Masters degree. After graduation she continued to live in Los Angeles until 2019 where she gained work experience in different architecture offices.

At the end of 2019 Marie-Sophie moved to Berlin and is working at Sauerbruch Hutton since then. Next to her responsibilities as an architect in all phases, she is part of the Quality Management BIM in the office. Marie-Sophie holds an architecture license in the state of California/USA and in Germany. Since 2025 she is Associate.
