Jonas Luther studied at the Technical University of Braunschweig and the Kunsthochschule Berlin, where he graduated as an architect in 2000. Before joining Sauerbruch Hutton, he taught for three years at the State Academy of Art and Design in Stuttgart and worked in WilkinsonEyre's London office.

He joined Sauerbruch Hutton in 2008. As project manager he is responsible for the planning and implementation of national and international competitions and projects. One focus of his work is the design and implementation of high-rise buildings. Jonas became a partner in 2020.
