Falco Herrmann studied civil engineering and environmental technology at the TU Hamburg-Harburg and the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. After graduating in 2003, he worked in the office of Bothe Richter Teherani Architects in Hamburg.

He joined Sauerbruch Hutton in 2006 and since then has been in charge of numerous new construction and refurbishment projects in various fields. He is particularly involved with schemes for the preservation and conversion of existing buildings. He is responsible for cost and schedule management, which he accompanies from competition stage to building completion. Falco became a partner in 2020.
